Francis
L. Cron
Francis
L. (Babe) Cron, 77, of 116 W. High St., died at 1 p.m. in Good Samaritan
Hospital, Dayton. He was born Sept. 9, 1905 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late L.
C. and Florence Cron KUNKLE Cron. (Personal
comment -- Francis was born to Florence and her first husband, Clifford Scott
Hixon. For some reason, the marriage
did not last and her son’s last name was always Cron.) His
wife, the former Martha Henke, died in 1957. Mr.
Cron was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and had served in the U.S.
Army and U.S. Air Force, retiring from the U.S.A.F. Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Ellen C. White, Troy; three grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending at the Fisher-Cheney-Cron Funeral
Home, Troy.
