WILHOITE, FLORIAN C. - The Reverend Elam Dohner, pastor of the Phoneton Brethren in Christ church, officiated at final rites for Florian C. Wilhoite, 70, on Sunday, March 26 in the Frings and Bayliff funeral home.  Burial was in the Bethel cemetery at Phoneton.  Mr. Wilhoite, who lived at 9395 S. State Route 202, Phoneton, died on March 23 in the Good Samaritan hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was born on April 7, 1901 in Owenton, Kentucky, the son of O. E. and Emma Davis Wilhoite.  He had  retired after working 47 1/2 years for the American Telephone and Telegraph company in Dayton and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Troy Fish and Game club. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Herring Wilhoite; two sons, Ned of Columbus and Tim of Fort Meade, Md.;  two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Palivec of Dayton and Pam Wilhoite of Wilmore, Ky.; a brother, Albert E. of Los Angeles, four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a nephew, Kenneth of Kettering.
