MERRITT, FLORENCE L. - Services for Florence L. Merritt, 77, of Springfield were conducted Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the Trostel, Chapman & Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle, by the Rev. Joyce Fry.  Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  Mrs. Merritt, a native of Miami County, died Sept. 1 at Heartland of Springfield.  She is survived by a brother, Herb Young, of Springfield; a sister-in-law, Ann Guthrie, of Dayton; and two brothers- in-law, Charles Merritt of Tipp City and Cloise Merritt of Springfield.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Max L. Merritt, in 1983  Memorial contributions may be made to the Central United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 102 W. High St., Springfield 45502.
