MASON, ERNEST A. - Funeral services were held on Monday, December 31 in the Trostel-Chapman funeral home in New Carlisle for Ernest A. Mason, 76, of 6585 East State Route 40 at Brandt.  Mr. Mason had been in ill health since 1952.  He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Tipp City and Engineers Local of Dayton.  He is survived by his wife, Grace; one son, James Wendell Mason, of Urbana; five daughters, Mrs. Nora Jane Shanks of Brandt, Mrs. Bertha Mae Morrow and Mrs. Betty Rambler, both of Florida, Mrs. Phyllis Maggert of Union, and Mrs. Barbara Ellen Spirk of Brandt, 21 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Marion L. Mason of Springfield; and one sister, Mrs. Elva Weller of Urbana.  A son, Donald, preceded him in death in 1953.  Burial was in Mutual cemetery near Urbana.
