COATE, ELIZA A. - Peterson--Eliza A. Davis was born Jan. 7, 1842, and died Sept. 5, 1911.  She was married to John J. Coate June 14, 1860, and to them were born nine children, five daughters and four sons, one son and one daughter preceding her in death.  After her marriage she united with the Friends church remaining a faithful member until death.  She was a loving wife, a kind and affectionate mother and bore her suffering with patience.  The funeral was held from the Pleasant Hill Christian church and was conducted by Rev. Pemberton.
