FUNSTON, EDWARD H. - New Carlisle--Word has been received by friends here of the death of Edward H. Funston, of Iola, Kan., formerly a resident of this town, and the father of General Fred Funston, September 10.  Mr. Funston is remembered by many of our people.  He married Ann Eliza Mitchell in 1861.  Five sons and one daughter were born to them.  These children and his faithful wife survive him, and were present at the funeral, except Gen. Funston, who is in Manila.
