RIKE, DR. WM. H. - Dr. Wm. H. Rike, the oldest and one of the most prominent physicians of Versailles, died at his home in that village at 1 o'clock Tuesday morning, May 30, of cancer, after an illness extending over a period of two years.  The deceased was well known to the medical fraternity throughout this section and also to many other residents here, and at the time of his death was President of the Darke County Medical Society.  Dr. Rike had been a resident of Versailles for thirty-five years.  He was born in Newberry township, Miami county, Ohio, December 3, 1850, and was in the sixty-first year of his age.  He graduated from the Ohio Medical College at Cincinnati in 1876, and was married March 9th, 1876, to Miss Emma Felter, a native of Miami county, and on the 29th day of March of the same year he moved to Versailles where he resided until his death.  He is survived by a wife, and two daughters, one of who is married three brothers and other relatives.  Funeral Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the residence in Versailles.  Interment in Greenlawn cemetery at that place.
