GIBBONEY, CHARLES - Charles Gibboney, who was so seriously injured Monday of last week by the explosion of the boiler at his father's sawmill, died at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon of last week. Funeral services were held at Greenville Creek church Friday afternoon,, with interment at Harris Creek cemetery. The impressive funeral ceremony of the Jr. O. U. A. M. was given he having been a member of Gettysburg council. A pathetic circumstance in connection with this young man's death was the fact that he was engaged to marry Miss Lizzie Valentine but they had kept the secret intending to surprise their families. After the accident the young man wished to have the ceremony performed and it was planned to have it done Wednesday evening but his death intervened.
