Cathy Onalee Hecker, 71, of 404 E. Spring St., Covington, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002 at her residence. She was born April 17, 1931 in Piqua to the late Vincent “Pat” and Coral Onalee (Burch) Graham.  She married Jack M. Hecker Oct. 2, 1948 in Piqua, who resides at 404 E. Spring St., Covington.  Cathy was a homemaker.  She and her husband opened their hearts and home to care for foster children.  She was a historian and enjoyed genealogy.  She was a member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Covington.  She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution, Piqua Chapter, which also was the Last Regent before it converted with Lewis Boyer Chapter of Shelby County and is now called Piqua Lewis Boyer Chapter.  She also was a life member of Ohio State NSDAR Officers Club.  She was a member of offices in state genealogy. Survivors include her children, Terry Hecker of Piqua, Cynthia and Allen Stock of Troy, William and Eugene and Cathy Hecker of Piqua, Agnes Christine and Geno Parlette of St. Mary's, Linda Louise and Larry Hill of Dayton and Jackie and Patrick Kaiser of Covington; foster son, Charles Thomas and Karen Mackeller: 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 extended great-grandchildren; sisters Nancy Sourmil-Holt of Piqua, Delores Jean Brown of Sidney and Rosalee Ann Gade of Germantown; and brothers, John Graham of Bradford and Joseph Graham of Indian Lake. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Brittany Hecker Smith; one great-grandchild, Hannah Abigail; half-sister, Patricia Wysong; and half-brothers, John Huff and James Graham. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pearson-Jackson Funeral Home, Covington, with Fr. James Duell officiating. Calling hours are from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher. D.A.R. services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.    Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Covington.  Condolences may also be expressed through www.jacksonfuneralhomes.com
