C. E. “CAD” CRON DIES AT DAYTON

Native of Piqua Victim of Six Weeks Illness; Rites Here Saturday

A wide circle of old friends here will regret to learn of the death of Clarence Emson (“Cad”) Cron, 57, which occurred at 5 p.m. Thursday at his home, 1305 Riverview avenue, Dayton, following an illness of six weeks with a heart condition. Born in Piqua, October 24, 1885, he was the son of Lucius C. And Marcella Brown Cron.  He attended the Piqua schools and for most of his life was associated with various firms as a salesman for which he had an unusual aptitude.  He possessed a beautiful baritone voice for which he will be well remembered here. He leaves two half brothers, J. C. Cron of Piqua and Charles S. Cron of Columbus, and a sister, Mrs. Robert L. Kunkle (Florence) of Piqua.     The Rev. John C. Inglis will conduct services Saturday at 2 p.m. at the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral Chapel, with burial in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral Home this evening and Saturday.
