ZOLLARS, BEN D. - Funeral services for Ben D. Zollars, 69, of R.R. 1, Tipp City, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Brandt Lutheran church with burial in the New Carlisle cemetery.  Mr. Zollars, a resident of Bethel township since May, 1941, died on Thursday morning after a lengthy illness.  A mechanical engineer, he had worked at the A. O. Smith corporation prior to his retirement because of ill health.  He had also done custom designing at his residence.  He is survived by his wife, Fleta, one son, Neal Zollars of Sumter, S. C.; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Sauter of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Rubidge and Mrs. Ruth Smolenske, both of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  He was a member of the Brandt Lutheran church and of the New Carlisle F&AM.  Services were arranged by Doom Memorial home with visitation Friday, the body lying in state at the Brandt church for one hour prior to the services Saturday.  Rev. Robert Miller was in charge of the services at the church.  The pall bearers were Wilbur Friend, Chalmer Bechtolt, Raymond Wild, Chester Lesher, Robert Sanger and Harold Shaneyfelt.
