WINANS, ANTHONY - Anthony
Winans died at his home in Fletcher Monday night, aged 75 years. He was
taken ill the day after Thanksgiving and died from heart trouble brought on by
the infirmities of advancing years. Deceased was a quiet, steady, reliable
citizen. He learned the carpenter's trade in his home town and followed it
there until the end. He is survived by his wife. One son and one
daughter died some years ago. J. Cory Winans, traveling passenger agent of
the C. H. & D. R.R., is a brother. The funeral services were held on
Wednesday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at his late home. The Rev. Tedford
of Fletcher officiated. Interment in Fletcher cemetery.
