MAHAN, AMOS - Lookout--Amos Mahan, 77, died Feb. 6 at 5 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Verner Weaver, death being due to heart trouble. He resided here before removing to Sidney. Wednesday of last week he came to his daughter's home for a short visit being then in his usual health. He became ill during that night and remained in a very serious condition, being unconscious since Thursday until his death. His wife died three years ago. He is survived by two daughters, three sons, a brother and several grandchildren. The funeral was held at Charity Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday and was conducted by Rev. McDaniel. Interment at Graceland cemetery, Sidney.

MAHAN, AMOS PALMER - Lena--Amos Palmer Mahan died Feb. 6 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Vernon Weaver, death being due to pneumonia of only a few days duration. He was born March 21, 1834, in Bucks county, Pa., and came to Ohio in 1842 with his parents, Cornelius and Deborah Mahan. He was married April 9, 1863, to Letitia Julian wo died Feb. 14, 1908. He is survived by one brother, five children, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. Since youth he had been a faithful member of the Methodist church. The funeral was held Wednesday morning, Feb. 8, and was conducted by Rev. McDaniel. Interment in Graceland cemetery, Sidney. The family wish to extend their thanks to the neighbors and friends for their kindness in their time of their great bereavement.
