LEHMAN, AMOS - Blind Corner--The frozen body of Amos Lehman, aged 65 years, was found in his home 1 1/2 miles northeast of here, last Friday morning.  The announcement of this grewsome discovery was a great shock to the community as Mr. Lehman was widely known.  He had lived alone a number of years, his wife and daughter living in Covington and his son working at various places by the month.  It is supposed that he died from heart trouble sometime Thursday morning as his neighbor, Jacob Miller, failed to see any smoke issue from the chimney or stir all day Thursday and not seeing any stir Friday morning, became alarmed and at the solicitation of his sister he went over and found Mr. Lehman lying upon his face frozen stiff.  It is presumed that he was engaged in removing his apples to keep them from freezing as there was a half bushel of fruit beside him on the floor.  His family were notified and the remains were taken to their home in Covington.  The funeral was preached in the new Church of the Brethren at Covington, Sunday afternoon, Revs. Mohlerand Wine officiating.  Interment in Harris Creek cemetery.
