LONG ILLNESS OF PIQUAD IS ENDED  

Alva Andrew Cron, 43, died at 10:15 a.m., today at his residence, 610 Boal avenue, following an illness of twelve years with tuberculosis. Born in Springcreek township May 23, 1900, he was the son of Andrew and Elizabeth Rempfer Cron.  He had resided in Piqua for 18 years and was employed as a sander at Cron Kills company before ill health demanded his retirement.  He was a member of Greene Street Methodist church. He leaves his mother; a brother, Forrest, and a sister, Mrs.. Raymond Swob (Rose), all residing in Piqua.  His father died September 24, 1924, and a sister Mrs. Forrest Rauscher (Freda) preceded him in death October 2, 1935. The Rev. Norman Gutry will officiate when services are held Thursday at 2 p.m., at the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the J. C. Cron and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday.
