CHRISTIE, ALEXANDER K. - Alexander K. Christie, 65, a native of Dundee, Scotland, but for the last 40 years a resident of Piqua, died at his home in that city Sunday morning.  He had been a sufferer for 18 months with stomach trouble but his last illness was one of only a few days and his condition was not considered serious until Saturday.  Mr. Christie was a contracting painter and paperhanger.  He was widely known both for the excellence of his work and for his lovable, kind disposition, which made him many friends.  In 1876 he married Miss Eva Billings, who with one daughter Miss Ethel, who is a deputy in the office of County Clerk Cloyd Smith, survives him.  One son, George, died a few years ago.  The funeral was held from the residence Tuesday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. Cherington.  The I. O. O. F. lodge of which he was one of the oldest members, attended in a body.  Burial was at Forest Hill.
