BECK, ALBERT (BERT) - Word has been received of the death on February 21, 1972, 1977 of Albert (Bert) Reck, a longtime resident of Tipp City. Mr. Reck, who was 94 at the time of his death in Portland, Oregon, was the first employee of the Dayton and Troy Electric Railway. He was a former motorman on the line and was well known to local residents who rode the old D&T. He left Tipp City in 1906, moving to Portland to work on an electric railway there. He was continually employed by that company for 48 years.
