HUFFAKER, KEITH LEE "BIG DADDY" - Burbank, Calif. - Keith Lee "Big Daddy" Huffaker died of natural causes Oct. 28, 2009, at his residence in Burbank, Calif. He was 80 years old. Keith was born April 18, 1929, in South Bend, Ind., to Perry and Lauree Huffaker, who preceded him in death. He owned a plumbing and heating company in Troy and continued in construction in California. He contributed a lot to the construction industry through his strong work ethic, participation in trade association, such as SMACNA, MCAA, PHCC (former president of the Ohio chapter) and teaching at a local trade school in Dayton. He will be remembered for his love of family, his strong work ethic, his passion for sports, particularly as an Ohio State Football fan, and his love of animals, especially his faithful dog, Reina. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Huffaker; seven children, Julia Lutz, Craig Huffaker, Jill Morris, Brian Huffaker, Brad Huffaker, Amy Powell and Susanne Meza; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two siblings, Dave and John Huffaker. Keith chose cremation and a celebration of life service will be planned for the spring, April 3, 2010, in Troy.
