LEWIS, JOSHUA SETH - Joshua Seth Lewis, 26, of Tipp City, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009 in his residence. He was born in Troy, on Aug. 29, 1982 the son of Larry and Carol Ann (Stanley) Lewis. He was a 2001 graduate of Tippecanoe High School where he was very active in sports. He was also a graduate of Sinclair with an associate degree in aviation and did his flight training at Moraine Air Park. He was a golfer, loved the outdoors, animals, fishing and white water rafting. Josh loved flying, he was a member of the A.O.P.A., an instrument Rated Pilot, enjoyed acrobatic stunt flying, parachuting, flying gliders and was working toward his Commercial Pilot's License. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Carol Ann (Stanley) Lewis; wife Patricia Lewis; Aunt Paulette Stanley and Bill Horstman of Troy; Uncle Dennis and Jackie Lewis of Pennsylvania; cousins, Jordan and Danielle Lewis of Pennsylvania, several great aunts, uncles and cousins in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Indiana and his special dog "Mars". He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Raymond and Hortense Lewis and maternal grandparents John and Mary Stanley. Services were held Aug. 30 in the Blessing Funeral Home, Tipp City with Pastor Dan Fritz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Josh's name to the VFW Post 9582 Honor Guard, 4170 Old Springfield Road, Vandalia, Ohio 45377 or a local animal shelter.
