FOURMAN, ELLIS GENE - Ellis Gene Fourman, 78, of West Milton, died March 31, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born Feb. 1, 1931 in Pitsburg, Ohio. He was a 1949 graduate of Monroe High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, receiving the good conduct award. He and his wife were formerly co-owners of Roark's Furniture in Laura and owners of Fourman's Furniture in Englewood. He was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in West Milton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Claudine Fourman and sister, Doris Wert. He is survived by his wife, Shirley E. (Amburn) Fourman; sons and daughters-in-law, Pastor Craig and Leann Fourman of Fairborn, Chris and Kim Fourman of Huber Heights; daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Randy Baughman of Bowling Green; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Fourman of Ocala, Fla., William Fourman of Sacramento, Calif.; and sister, Katherine Speidel of Billings, Mont. Funeral services were held April 3 at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church with Pastor Mel Musser officiating and Bishop Callon Halloway attending. Burial followed at Mote Cemetery. Arrangements by Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, West Milton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Good Shepard Lutheran Church.
