YENNEY, DOROTHY M. (TIMMERMAN) - Brookfield, Conn. - Dorothy M. (Timmerman) Yenney, 92, of Brookfield, Conn., formerly a resident of Tipp City, died Tuesday Nov. 3, 2009, at The Village at Brookfield Common. She was born Feb. 26, 1917, in Dayton, to William and Marjory Timmerman. Surviving are her son, Tim Yenney and his wife, Beatrice of Leavenworth, Kan.; one daughter, Karla Buffington and her husband, Lynn, of New Milford, Conn.; and a son-in-law, Pat Durham of Bellville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Susan (Durham) Moloney, Robert Durham, David Durham, Nicole Buffington and Sarah Yenney; and five great-grandchildren, Patrick, Mary Kate, Liam, Kevin and Aidan Moloney. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Yenney; one daughter, Jen Ann Durham; and one brother, William Timmerman, Jr. Dorothy moved to Connecticut to be near her daughter for the last three years. Before her move, she lived at The Garbry Ridge Assisted Living in Piqua, and was a long time member of Tipp City United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed her time with the Tipp City Seniors. Dorothy enjoyed reading, fishing and being with her family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bonita Wood officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City.
