JACKSON, PAUL L. - Paul L. Jackson, 78, of Tipp City, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born Jan. 16, 1931 in Sidney, to Carl L. and Bertha (Mauck) Jackson. A 1948 graduate of Sidney High School, Paul was a retired designer at Delco Products after 33 years; Army Veteran of the Korean War: a member of the Zion Lutheran Church; American Legion and the Lions Club both of Tipp City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Barbara B. Jackson in 1991; sister Clarabel Schilling; and infant daughter, Carolyn Jackson. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jackson; children Gary Jackson, Tipp City; Amy and Jeff Peters, Troy; step-children, Marcia McKenzie, Tipp City; and Randall McKenzie, Tipp City; brother, Rex and Joan Jackson, Sun City, Ariz.; sisters, Alma Jean and Lester Wells and Phyllis and Dick Carey, all of Sidney; granddaughters, Amanda Jackson, Cierra and Tia Loop; grandson, Carson Peters; step grandsons, Casey McKenzie, Kendall and Derek Peters; many other relatives, cousin, nieces, and nephews. Services were held July 11, Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Gellately officiating. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Vandalia. The family would like to give a special thank you for the outstanding care given by Hospice of Miami County. Contributions in Paul's memory may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the Zion Church Memorial Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
