WILMER, HERBERT - Herbert C. Wilmer, age 76, of Brandt passed away Sunday June 19, 2005 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Dayton the son of the late John A. and Leona (Wysong) Wilmer. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis (Dinsmore) Wilmer; a daughter, Sue and son-in-law, Dennis Bateman of Cincinnati; a grandson, James W. (Allison) Bateman of West Palm Beach Fla; a brother, Harold (Mary) Wilmer of Titusville, Fla; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends and neighbors. Wilmer is preceded in death by six brothers, John, Walter, Robert, Bill, Lee and Paul; a sister, Leona. He retired from Process Equipment Co. after 35 years. He was a member of the Sulphur Grove United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 100 New Carlisle, Tuesday Morning Topsiders Golf League, and Process Equipment Monday Nighters Golf League. Herb was well known for his Can Craft. He was an active member of Bethel Township Fire Department and former chief. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Trostel, Chapman and Christmas Funeral Home with Pastors Tom Mellott and Jack Drodge officiating. Burial followed at New Carlisle Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
