CHEEK, JANE D. - Jane D. Cheek, age 78, of New Carlisle, died Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Mercy St. John's Center of Springfield. She was born July 4, 1925 in Delaware County, Ohio a daughter of the late Aubrey & Stella (Denney) Diles. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church of Park Layne. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert Lee & Sharon Cheek of North Hampton; five daughter and sons-in-law, Donna P. Snyer of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Sondra Buck of Columbus, Juanita & Allen Miller of Tipp City, Jo Ann Bishop of New Carlisle, and Deborah & Doug Martin of New Carlisle; fourteen grandchilren, John & Amanda Miller, Eric & Jessica Cheek, Doug Martin II, Amanda Bane, Desaree Bane. Christina Bane, Jennifer Bane, Jimmy & Pam Holland, Jennifer Smith, Dennis Bishop, Jr., Kevin & Tim Buck, Charles Snyder and Melissa Snyer; several great-randchildren including, Natalie, Keeley, Keegan, Kieryn, Juliet, Precious, Britton Maykayla, Jimmy II, Brandon, Mandy, Chris, Melissa, Colton, Carson, great-great-grandchild, Zole; Aunt Velva Scarborough; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband on November 13, 1974, and sister Dorothy Lyons. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2003 at TROSTEL, CHAPMAN & CHRISTMAS Funeral Home of New Carlisle. Rev. Jerry Cadell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend an invitation to those friends attending the funeral to join them for food, refreshment, and fellowship at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church immediately after returning from the cemetery.
