CURRENT, WILLIAM - St. Paris - St. Paris' fire chief dies at 48 - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday for St. Paris-Johnstown Twp. Fire Chief William Current who died unexpectedly Wednesday at the age of 48 at his home on U.S. 36, St. Paris. Mr. Current had been chief of the fire department since 1970. Services will be held at the Baker-Cisco Funeral Home Saturday. Friends may call today from 4 until 9 p.m. Survivors include his wife, his mother, a son and a daughter and a half sister.
