MAPES, SANTFORD G. - The Reverend John Yardlay officiated at funeral rites for Santford G. Mapes, 83, of 232 N. Elm St., Troy last Thursday. He was the father of Harry N. of Tipp City. Before retiring in 1965, Mr. Mapes had been employed as a welder by Hobart Cabinet for 46 years. He was a life member of the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf. In addition to his son, Harry, he is survived by his wife, Nellie; two daughters, Mrs. William (Mabel) Boram and Mrs. Charles (Mary Jane) Abbott, both of Troy; two brothers; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
