CULBERTSON, JOHN N.
-
Sudden Death
- Constable John N. Culbertson, died suddenly at his home on Water Street, at
about five o'clock Wednesday morning, the cause of his death being neuralgia of
the heart. Mr. C. had been about all the day previous and appeared as well
as usual. He retired at his usual bedtime, and although he complained of
feeling a little unwell gave no signs to indicate that his end was so near.
At about five o'clock in the morning Mrs. C. arose. A few minutes after
glancing at the bed she was astounded to see her husband dead--he had died
without a groan and with scarce a motion. Mr. C. was about 58 years of
age. He was born and reared in Troy, and was well known to the people of
this county.
