A SAD ACCIDENT - Death of Mr. Benj. Flynn, at his Saw Mill, near Miami City,
Thursday
- An accident which resulted in the almost instant death to a well known and
wealthy farmer of Elizabeth Township, Miami County, occurred at a saw mill, near
Miami City last Thursday afternoon. Mr. Benjamin Flynn, proprietor of the
saw mill near McKendra Church, about two miles south of Miami City, while
working at the mill was struck in the head by a piece of scantling, and his neck
broken. He was, we understand, engaged in pushing a log which was on the
track before the saw when the scantling which he held caught somehow between the
log and the machinery and swung around, striking him on the head with the above
result. Mr. Flynn's funeral will take place tomorrow
