O'FERRALL, NELLIE - By the death of Miss Nellie O'Ferrall on Friday evening last, there is ended a young life of rare promise. Perhaps no young lady could be more certain of winning the friendship and admiration of all whom she met. There was a gloom over all the city when the news was told that she had passed away and was at rest. She had suffered long and patiently, and the death angel came to her almost as a welcome messenger to bear her where there is no more pain. There were scores of saddened hearts and tear-dimmed eyes when she was borne in her last resting place. Sorrowing friends sent choicest flowers in profusion. The young lady friends of the deceased sent an exquisite pillow of white flowers, bearing the name "Nellie," while a number of gentlemen friends contributed a broken column, surmounted by a snow white dove with outstretched wings.Provided by Computerized Heritage Association.
