McCLUNG, JOHN T. - Tuesday last, after an illness of several weeks, John T. McClung, aged about 64 years.  Few deaths that have occurred in this community, in many years, have been as sincerely regretted as that of Mr. McClung.  Honest, honorable, upright, in all his transactions, frank, candid and sincere in his friendships, intelligent and prompt in the discharge of all duties, he was, in every respect, a good man and good citizen.  We have had ample opportunities for testing all these qualities, and speak but our heart-felt sentiments in regard to our friend's virtues.  A noble heart has ceased its life pulsations, but the influence of the good deeds it has prompted will continue.
