JOHNSON, JAMES R. - Mr. James R. Johnson, one of the early settlers of Newton Township, died on Monday of last week, aged 79 years. His funeral took place from the Hopewell Chapel, on Wednesday the 28 ult., services by Elder Geo. Inman. Mr. Johnson was one of the survivors of the War of 1812, in which he served when a mere lad in his teens. He was respected by all who knew him.
