HETZLER, FRANK - A Sad Accident - A Young Man Shoots Himself Through the Heart - A distressing accident occurred in Springcreek Township, about five miles north east of Troy, last Wednesday, by which a young man named Frank Hetzler--grandson of Mr. Elias Miller, met an instant death.  Young Hetzler, who is an expert shot, took his rifle and went out into the barn lot to shoot a chicken.  The folks in the house heard a shot, and when a few minutes afterward the boy did not return, they went out to ascertain the cause.  To their horror they found the young many lying on the ground, near a fence, dead; his clothes on fire, and a bullet hole through his heart.  The supposition is that he was climbing the fence when he someway caught the hammer of his gun which exploded the charge and sent the deadly bullet to his heart.  Young Hetzler, who was about fifteen years of age, was a very bright and intelligent boy, and quite a favorite in the neighborhood.  His sad and untimely end is deplored, by the people of that community, and his bereaved relatives have their heartfelt sympathy.  The funeral of the young man took place on Thursday afternoon.
