LOVE, THOMAS - Killed by the Cars - Thomas Love, brakeman of a freight train, met with an accident while coupling cars, here, on Wednesday night, which resulted in his death a few hours afterwards.  He slipped and fell and the wheels passed over his right arm and leg, mangling them terribly.  All that medical or surgical aid could do was done for the suffering man, but the nervous system was prostrated by the great shock and this, with the loss of blood; made it too weak to rally.  Love had only been on the D. & M. Road about six weeks.  He was a native of Scotland and had no friends in this country that could be learned of.  He was about thirty years of age and his conversation indicated him to be a good young man, as it was free from all that "rough talk" so common among men of his calling.  He was buried in the Cemetery, here, Thursday afternoon.
