WILLIAMS, STEPHEN WILKINSON - After a long and painful illness, Brother Stephen Wilkinson Williams, of Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio, aged forty-eight years, seven months and eight days. His funeral was attended by a large concourse of people, and his remains were interred in the Greenville Creek Cemetery. Bro. Williams leaves a widow with six children, and a large circle of friends and relatives, to mourn their loss. Stephen W. was the third son of Michael Williams, whose family consisted of nine children, four of whom yet survive, viz:--William, Henry, Barbara and Charlotte, whose mother yet lives, and is now in her eighty-fifth year. The writer of this memoir was intimately acquainted with the deceased, for twenty-five years, and has known him to be a man of integrity, honest with his fellow men, a good citizen, neighbor and kind husband. Bro. Williams was a farmer by occupation; and, from the time of his birth, had lived upon the premises where he died. Unassuming in his manner, yet a man of good judgment, with strong attachment to his friends, liberal in his views, with charity to all. He was a member of the Christian Church, and died, fully reconciled, with a clear hope of immortality beyond the grave. O. Covington, O., April 19, 1871
