WILLIAMS, ELIZABETH (nee: LONG) - May 21, 1871, in Newberry Township, Miami County, O., Elizabeth, relict of Michael Williams dec. The subject of this memoir was a daughter of William and Rachel Long--born in Pennsylvania, December 11, 1787, and died aged 83 years, 5 months and 10 days. She removed from Pennsylvania to Kentucky, and lived there a short time; and, from thence came to Dix Creek, Ohio, and thence to Newton Township, Miami County. She was married to Michael Williams in 1807, and subsequently settled in Newberry Township, on the premises where they lived together until May 14, 1850, when her husband departed this life. Mrs. Williams united with the Christian Church, April 1821, and from our earliest recollections and intimate acquaintance with her, for the last twenty years, we have had every evidence of Christian character fully developed, by her many acts of charity, kindness and exemplary deportment. Her funeral was attended by a large concourse of people, and the occasion was improved by Elders Griffith and Branson, from Psalms xc., 10: "the days of our years are three score years and ten, and if by reason of strength, labor and sorrow, for it is soon cut off and we fly away". C. Covington, Ohio, May 25, 1871
