VANWORMER, MRS. LEE - Sudden Death - Mrs. Lee VanWormer died very suddenly at about 1 o'clock on Saturday morning last. Early Friday morning Mrs. V. was engaged in canning fruit, and having become greatly heated, drank great quantities of cold water. About 7 1/2 A. M. Friday she was taken with a congestive chill. Dr. Bower was soon called in, but did not consider the case a very serious one. During the day and night Dr. B. visited his patient four times, and not until about 12 o'clock at night did he consider her dangerous. Other physicians were sent for but all medical aid was in vain, and she breathed her last at 1 o'clock.

VANWORMER, MRS. FLORA - On Saturday morning, June 25th, in Troy, Mrs. Flora, wife of Lee VanWormer, aged 19 years, 6 months and 16 days.
Come near!--ere yet the dust
Soil the brightest paleness of the settled brow,
Look on the loved one, and embrace her now,
In still and solemn trust!
Come near!--once more let kindred lips be pressed
On her cold check; then bear her to her rest!

Look yet on this young face!
What shall the beauty, from amongst us gone,
Leave of its image, even where most it shone,
Gladdening its hearth and race?
Dim grows the semblance on man's heart impressed--
Come near, and bear the beautiful to rest!

Ye weep, and it is well!
For tears befit earth's partings!--Yesterday
Song was upon the lips of this pale clay,
And sunshine seemed to dwell!
Where'er she moved--the welcome and the blessed!
--Now gaze! and bear the silent unto rest!

Bring flowers, pale flowers, o'er the bier to shed,
A crown for the brow of the early dead!
For this through its leaves hath the white-rose burst,
For this in the woods was the violet nursed.
Though they smile in vain for what once was ours,
They are love's last gift--bring ye flowers, pale flowers!
