SHIDLER FAMILY MILITARY

Peter Shidler/Shidler b 7 Sep 1751 Frederick Md, died 9 Jul 1830, Troy, Miami Ohio  who is buried in Raper Cemetery Miami Co was a private  of Washington Co PA Militia under Capt George Miar's Regiment prior to moving to Miami Co near Lostcreek/Staunton. He and four of his brothers all served in the Revolutionary War.

Peter's son Sergeant John Shidler b 17 Jan 1783 d 15 Sep 1844 is a documented veteran of the War of 1812. John is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery (date listed as 1841 in error, estate filed 1844). John married Susannah French 

John's son Simeon Shideler b abt 1828 Miami Co Ohio D 6 Dec 1863 was a Civil War Veteran. He was in Co E 11th OVI. Wife was Hannah Davis, married 1849 Miami Co. Their 5 Children listed p 36 microfilm in Miami County Home records. Hannah applied for a widows pension and moved to Shelby Co by 1870.  Simeon and Hannah's Dau Lavina Jane Shidler was my G G Grandmother.
