John Simmons
1761-1836

John was born in Linionhaus Germany, later was living in Paradise Township, York County Pennsylvania. In 1801 he came to Staunton Township, Miami County Ohio. After his wife died he moved to Montgomery County Ohio, then returned to Miami County in 1807.

He served as a private in the 1st Company, 5th Battalion, York County Pa., in 1780.
