Helen Abshire 72, London, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003 in her residence. She was
born August 19, 1931 in Troy, Ohio and was employed as a nurses aid for 15 years
at the Columbus State Institution. Survivors are two sons, James R. Abshire of
Columbus; and Tristen (Cecelia) Abshire of London; grandson, Damien R. Abshire
of Columbus; brother Bill (Iola) Vannoy of Troy, OH; and two cousins, Cathy
(Curt) Brown of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Cindy (Doug) Gage of Port Huron,
Michigan. According to her own request, Mrs. Abshire was cremated. A memorial
service to honor her life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday April 13, 2003 in
the Eberle Funeral Home, London, with Nick Gill officiating. Visitation will
not be observed, If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to the
Madison County Home Health and Hospice.
The husband was Arthur James Abshire b. 1926 in Troy, Miami Co., OH and he died in Hilliard, OH in 1987
