First American born generation

 Margaret Bosserman  Koch  Thomas   
 1766-1841

Margaret was married twice,  first to Peter Koch and after his death to George Thomas.   She had nine children in all.   Four by the first marriage (Koch) and five by the second (Thomas).

She was born Margreth (sic),  on 22 August 1766 on the Bosserman family farm in Reading Township,  York (now Adams) County Pa.   She was the fourth child of Johann Michael and Christine (Dierdorff) Bassermann.

About 1785 Margaret was married to Peter Koch.   That surname is also found as Kough and is the german equivlent of the english word Cook.   It is pronounced  "cook."   Peter died in August 1785 near Newport, Perry County Pa,  and is buried without a gravestone in the Fleurie graveyard.
       
Peter and Margaret (Bosserman) Koch had the following children:

            2...John Koch         1787-1867,  married Eleanor Hollopeter  &  Mary Ann Shipp
            3...Peter Koch,       born after 1790,  married Leah Smith
            4...Sarah Koch,      born after 1790,  married  Rev William Brown   

Around 1796 the widow Margaret Bosserman Koch was married to George Clinton Thomas.   He was born in 1768 and lived until  22 May 1847.   Margaret had died a few years earlier, on 15 Oct 1841.  Both are buried near Waterloo New York.

George and Margaret (Bosserman-Koch) Thomas' children were:

          3...Michael Thomas  1800-1880,  married Leah Rhinehart
          4...Samuel Thomas  1802-(      ),  married Margaret Bosserman
          5...George Thomas  1804-1814,  died as a child
