    AFRICAN CEMETERY  was the first name given to what is now known as The Jackson Cemetery in Springcreek Township of Miami County. See JACKSON AFRICAN CEMETERY.
    ANDERSON CEMETERY
    in Brown Township, Miami County Ohio, is in the southeast quarter of Section 15. It is at the corner of Snodgrass Road and Sodom-Ballow Road. Sodom-Ballow Road is State Route 589. The attached photo was taken on 24th Oct 2000. Anderson Graveyard Photo
    ARNOLD CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is a miss-given name for the WHITMER CEMETERY.  See WHITMER CEMETERY
    BARBEE FAMILY
    in Troy, Concord Township, Miami County Ohio. East of Lytle Road (Township Road 130), north of Harrison Street by the Railroad tracks.
    BETHEL GERMAN REFORMED CHURCH GRAVEYARD
    also known as Bethel East Cemetery, is in Bethel Township of Miami County, in Section 25, East side of State Route 202, 3/8 mile south of State Route 440. The German Reformed Church merged with The Christian Church in the 1950s to form The United Church Of Christ (UCC).
    BITNER CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is a miss-given name for the BRUMBAUGH CEMETERY. For further information see BRUMBAUGH CEMETERY
    BLICKENSTAFF CEMETERY
    in Monroe Township of Miami County Ohio, also known as KARNS or CARNS Cemetery. It is in the southeast quarter of Section 17, north of Shoop Road (aka Township Road 222), between US Highway 25 and Tipp-Cowlesville Road (aka County Road 153)
    BLOOMER CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is a name sometimes misused to identify the FRIEDENS LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY. For further information see FRIEDENS LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY
    BLUE FARM CEMETERY
    in Staunton Township of Miami County. It is also known as the SAUNDERS cemetery. It is located in the northeast one-half of Section 10, Town 1, Range 10. It is on the east side of State Route 504 and north of State Route 41 at Robbins Road (aka Township Road 252).
    BRADFORD CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. Should not be confused with the New Harris Creek Cemetery or the Old Harris Creek Cemetery. The BRADFORD CEMETERY, also known as the OLD BRADFORD CEMETERY is one mile south of Bradford and located in the southwest quarter of Section 27, Town 9, Range 4. It is on the east side of State Route 721 (just across the highway from Darke County), just north of the Covington-Gettysburg Road. It is a little over half a mile south of State Route 36. Although this cemetery covers one acre or more of ground there are very few gravestones. perhaps a dozen. The attached photo was taken on 1 Nov 2000. Old Bradford Graveyard Photo
    BRANDT CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County OH is located in the center of the northern one-third of Section 23, Town 9, Range 4. It is on the west side of a lane that runs south off of Klinger Road. All of the gravestones are missing and the graves unmarked. There were very few graves in this place according to the late Emerson Kessler who showed me the location. Emerson told me that for awhile the gravestones were all in a pile along a corner of the farm, but were gone when we visited the place circa 1978. Also see the SHOE CEMETERY in this work, which was likely the same cemetery.
    BRIGHT GRAVEYARD
    is in Lostcreek Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the northeast 1/4 of Section 13, on the west side of Sodom Road (aka Township Road 210), and about 1/2 mile north of State Route 55.
    BROWN CEMETERY (African)
    is in Union Township of Miami County. It is/was? in Section 12. Following is a quote from page 230 of a book OHIO CEMETERIES by The Ohio Genealogy Society, published 1978, quote: "Listed on a W.P.A. List. Not found." Unquote. The W.P.A. List is an inventory of cemeteries made by The Work Project Administration around 1930/1935
    BROWN SCHOOLHOUSE GRAVEYARD
    in Lostcreek Township of Miami County, also known as CURTIS CEMETERY.
    It is in the northwest 1/4 of section 28, and on the west side of the Lostcreek-Shelby Road (aka Township Road 23), and south of Lay Road (aka County Road 7).
    BRUMBAUGH CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio It is on a bluff overlooking the Stillwater River in the north-west quarter of Section 11, Town 9, Range 4. It is on the south edge of a woods, about 500 feet north off of State Route 185. The gravestone inscriptions from this cemetery have were copied and published. Book : "Cemetery Inscriptions Of Newberry Twp."   This cemetery has not been cared  for and is being overrun by nature.

    BRUSH CREEK GERMAN BAPTIST
    (also known as Vore Cemetery) in Union Township of Miami County a half- mile west of Nashville. It is in the southwest quarter of Section 14, Town 7, Range 5. The stones have all been removed from the graves and placed in a row down the middle of the graveyard.

    BRUSH CREEK CHURCH OF GOD
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio. Also known as The CURTIS CEMETERY and UNION CHURCH CEMETERY. It is around one and one-half miles north of Frederick. It is located in the northeast quarter of Section 26, Town 7, Range 5, on the west side of Frederick-Kessler Road (aka County Road 43), one-half mile south of Wheelock Road (aka County Road 143).

    BUCKNECK CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is a name sometimes misused to identify the GREENVILLE-CREEK CHURCH CEMETERY For further information see GREENVILLE-CREEK CHURCH CEMETERY.
    CABLE CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio is located about two miles north of Covington and south off of the Klinger Rood in a woods. It is on a north bluff overlooking Harris Creek. The cemetery is in southern half of Section 18, Town 9, Range 5. The cemetery is fenced in but overgrown and many of the stones are down. The inscriptions have been copied and published in book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township."  Starting in 1999 this cemetery is mowed and
    cleaned up twice a year by the Newberry Township Trustees.

    CASSTOWN CEMETERY
    One half mile south of Casstown,  in Lostcreek Township of Miami County Ohio. It is on the west side of the Casstown Road and near the Elizabeth-Lostcreek Township Line.

    CEDAR HILL CEMETERY
    in Springcreek Township of Miami County Ohio. It is a Jewish Cemetery located on the east edge of Piqua and just north of US Route 36, between the Railroad and Interstate 75.     CENTER FRIENDS CEMETERY
    a Quaker Graveyard, is in Union Township of Miami County Ohio. It is located around one and one-half miles southwest of Ludlow Falls and about the same distance northwest of West Milton. It is in the southwest quarter of Section 7, Town 7, Range 5, and at the corner of State Route 571 and Markley Road.  The attached photo was taken in Oct 2000    Photo of Center Friends Church and Cemetery
    CHRISTIAN CHURCH CEMETERY
    in Lostcreek Township of Miami County Ohio. See: SODOM ROAD CEMETERY
    CIRCLE HILL GRAVEYARD
    in Newton Township of Miami County. Reported to have been off of Sugar Grove Road (aka as County Road 78), and in Section 7. This would have placed it between the Stillwater River and The Range Line Road (aka County Road 9). The graveyard can not now be found. Note that the place known as Circle Hill is approximately two miles west of the closest point of Section 7. Do not confuse this graveyard with the very old Dunker-Brethren Graveyard known at the Sugar Grove Cemetery also in Newton Township, Miami Co.
    CONCORD CEMETERY
    in Monroe Township of Miami County Ohio is also known as the OLD CONCORD and/or The PEARSON cemetery. It is located in the northeast quarter of Section 17, on the east side of Peters Road (aka County Road 149), and one-half mile north of Kerr Road (aka Township Road 152).
    COPPOCK CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County.  It was around two and one-half miles west of Ludlow Falls. It was in the south one-half of Section 1, on the south side of State Route 55, between Shiloh Road and Rangeline Road.

    There is no longer a Coppock Cemetery. There were 4 burials made on the Coppock Family farm. They were all black Civil War Soldiers. These markers were close to Ludlow Creek and were in some danger of being washed away and or vandalized. Rather than let their memory disappear totally, in 1976 Ron King inspired several West Milton Boy Scouts to earn a merit badge by moving the markers to the Hanktown Cemetery along State Route 571 a mile or so east of Laura where they are lined in a row facing the highway.

    These markers are for Harrison Gillard; and Silas White both of Co G, 55th MA Volunteer Infantry;  Hillery White of Co F, 5th Ohio Volunteer Infantry;  and Julius Young of Co
    G, 5th U. S. C. H. A.

    Hanktown was a settlement of freed black slaves, formerly the property of John Randolph of VA. See Hankstown Cemetery for more information.


    COVINGTON CEMETERY
    on the north edge of Covington Ohio and known as the HIGHLAND CEMETERY. Also see The OLD COVINGTON CEMETERY aka The OLD BAPTIST CEMETERY. The graves and stones from these cemeteries were moved into the HIGHLAND CEMETERY, Newberry Township, Miami Co Ohio
    CRAWFORD GRAVEYARD
    is in Bethel Township of Miami County Ohio, in the Northwest 1/4 Section 4. It is on the north side of State Route 71, 1/2 mile east of Palmer Road aka Township Road 177.
    CROWELL CEMETERY
    was in Newberry Township of Miami County. It was in the northern most part of Section 24, Town 9, Range 5. This place was a little over one mile west of Covington. At least a part of the graves and stones were moved to the Old Harris Creek Cemetery circa 1905/1909 when the laying of the "new" tracks of the Pennsylvania Railroad encroached on the family burial plot. Deed from Crowell Heirs to Railroad in 1909. New tracks laid in 1909. Crowell, aka Crowel, Crowl, etc. The above mentioned "new" tracks were taken up and the east-west railroad line disbanded in 1978.
    CURTIS CEMETERY
    in Lostcreek Township of Miami County Ohio, also known as BROWN SCHOOLHOUSE GRAVEYARD, is in the north west 1/4 of Section 28 and on the west side of the Lostcreek-Shelby Road (aka Township Road 23), and south of Lay Road (aka as County Road 17).
    CURTIS CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County is also known³ as the BRUSH CREEK CHURCH OF GOD and the UNION CHURCH CEMETERY. For further information see the BRUSH CREEK CHURCH OF GOD.
    DAVEY GRAVEYARD #1
    in Elizabeth Township of Miami County is in Section 19. Benham Road (aka Township Road 93) to Fair's Lane, in a small field back of house.
    DAVEY GRAVEYARD #2
    is in Lostcreek Township of Miami County. It is in Section 13, and on the west side of Sodom Road (aka Township Road 210), north of the Troy-Urbana-Southern Road (aka State Route 55).
    DAVIS CEMETERY
    is in Elizabeth Township of Miami County and in the southeast 1/4 of Section 7. It is off the east side of Widener Road (aka Township Road 234) and three quarters of a mile east of State Route 201, up a hill, in a woods. Click here for photo of Davis Cemetery
    ENGLISH LUTHERAN CEMETERY

    FALKNOR BURIAL GROUND
    was in Newberry Township of Miami County. The cemetery was located in the northeast quarter of Section 31, Town 8, Range 5. The bodies and stones were moved to the large Highland Cemetery at Covington. There are seven graves, all Falknor, all listed on page 145 of the book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township.
    FLETCHER CEMETERY
    is in the town of Fletcher, in Brown Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the southeast 1/4 of Section 25, on the east side of the Casstown- Fletcher Road (aka County Road 22), and 200 feet north of State Route 36. The attached photo was taken on 24th Oct 2000.

    FLETCHER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHYARD
    is in the town of Fletcher, in Brown Township of Miami County Ohio. It is 200 feet north of State Route 36 (main east-west street through Fletcher) The burying ground is near what was once the Newton Presbyterian Church. and around 100 yards west of the much larger Fletcher Cemetery.     FOREST HILL CEMETERY
    is a huge graveyard on the north edge of the City Of Piqua. It is well cared for, and is the site of most of the Piqua area burials today. This is also the place that many of the older area graveyards have been moved into over the past hundred years or more. There is an on-site office and good records. It is located in the northeast quarter of Section 12 and the northwest quarter of Section 7. It is on the south side of Zeigler Road, between Stare Route 66 and the Versailles Road.     FOREST HILL SCHOOL CEMETERY
    was in Staunton Township of Miami County Ohio. This old graveyard was moved to the high Riverside Cemetery in Troy. No further information.
    FREDERICK CEMETERY
    in Monroe Township of Miami County, around one and one-half miles east of the town of Frederick. It is also known as MILL CREEK cemetery. See.....MILL CREEK CEMETERY for further information.
    FREEMAN FAMILY CEMETERY
    is also known as PUTERBAUGH CEMETERY. It is in Bethel Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the west 1/2 of Section 26, in a farm field, on the east side of Wildcat Road (aka Township Road 181).
    FRIEDENS LUTHERAN CHURCH GRAVEYARD
    is beside the Friedens Lutheran Church in Newberry Township of Miami County. The word "friedens" is German for "peace or tranquility." The Burial Records and Church Records were lost to file ca 1920s. Some of the stones are engraved in German. The gravestone inscriptions have been copied and published in the book: "Cemetery Inscriptions Of Newberry Township." The cemetery is active and well cared for by the church.     GARBRY BAPTIST CEMETERY
    in Springcreek Township of Miami County, is in the southwest quarter of Section 1, on the east side of the Union-Shelby Road, and one half mile north of US Route 36 in a field off of Suber Road. Photo taken on 25 Oct 2000. Many of the stones are down and placed in a pile.

    GARBRY CHRISTIAN CEMETERY
    in Springcreek Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the south west quarter of Section 1, on the northeast corner of US Route 36 and Union-Shelby County Road (aka County Road 20).     GEARHART CEMETERY
    in Elizabeth Township of Miami County Ohio is also known as the SHEETS CEMETERY. It is in the northeast 1/4 of Section 32 and on the south side of the Walnut Grove Road (aka County Road 161). It is one third mile east of the Children's-Home Road in a field.
    GREENVILLE CREEK CHURCH CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County. It is about one mile southeast of Bradford and three miles west of Covington. It is on the west side of Buckneck Road half way between the Covington-Gettysburg Road and the Greenville Creek. The cemetery is beside the Greenville Creek United Church Of Christ. It is in the southeast quarter of Section 27, Town 9, Range 4. The first burial according to gravestones was in 1843. The cemetery is active and well cared for by the Newberry Township Trustees.     HANKTOWN CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio also known as JACKSON CEMETERY and The Old SLAVE CEMETERY. Most, if not all burials were of Afro-Americans, and then mostly freed Randolph Slaves and their descendants. It's location is in northwest quarter of section 12, on the north side of State Route 571 about one mile east of Laura and east of the Shiloh Road.  The stones were copied by Anita (Mrs. Don) Short in 1968.   Also see

    HARRIS CREEK CEMETERY (New)
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is around a mile north of Bradford along the east side of State Route 721 and near The Harris Creek Church Of The Brethren. It should not be confused with the older Harris Creek Dunker Cemetery which is somewhat north and across the highway from the newer Harris Creek Cemetery. State Route 721 is also the dividing line between Miami and Darke Counties. While the new Harris Creek Cemetery is in Miami County, the old Harris Creek Cemetery is in Adams Township of Darke County.
    HARTZELL CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County. The cemetery is atop a small hill in the northwest quarter of Section 36, Town 9, Range 4. It is on the south side of the Covington-Gettysburg Road some 100 yards east of the Greenville Creek. All of the stones are down and most broken into several pieces. Likely six to ten burials. The stones survived until 1930s when two large pine trees fell across them in wind storm. Much time and effort was made to copy and publish the inscriptions in book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township."
    During the late 1990s all of the stones were removed and the ground was planted in grass. It is now a part of the front lawn of a new
    home. No trace now remains of this graveyard.
    HICKORY GROVE CEMETERY
    is in Bethel Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the northeast 1/4 of Section 9, on Agenbroad Road between Palmer Road and the Dayton-Brandt Road. It is in Churchyard off the road to the south, in a grove of trees.
    THE HIGHLAND CEMETERY (Newberry Township)
    is on the north edge of Covington in Newberry Township, Miami County. It is a very large cemetery, active, and well cared for by Newberry Township. The first burials were before 1820. The inscriptions from the gravestones were copied in the 1970's and published. The cemetery caretaker's office contains burial books and an up to date card file of the burials. Most graves after around 1900, even without gravestones, have the burial dates recorded in the caretaker's office. The Newberry Township Offices set just to the east of this Cemetery. The cemetery is in the southwest quarter of Section 20. Do not confuse this cemetery with one by the same name in Union Township of Miami Co Ohio

    HIGHLAND, BRETHREN IN CHRIST CEMETERY   (Union Township)

    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio is around one mile south of West Milton. It is in the northeast quarter of Section 32, on the west side of Jay Road (aka County Roads 56), one-third of a mile south of Garland Road.      Do not confuse this cemetery with the large HIGHLAND cemetery at Covington, in Newberry Township.

    HIPPLE GRAVEYARD
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. It is located in the southeast quarter of Section 27, Town 9, Range 4 and on the north bank of the Greenville Creek. Only two stones found, John & Elizabeth Hipple.
    HONEYMAN GRAVEYARD
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio. Also known as the HONNAMAN Cemetery is about one-quarter mile south of Nashville and around two miles north of Frederick. It is in the northeast 1/4 of Section 23, Town 7, Range 5, on the north side of Shearer Road (aka County Road 142) and 1/4 mile west of the Kessler-Frederick Road (aka Country Road 43.)     HONNAMAN CEMETERY

    HYATTSVILLE CEMETERY
    in Monroe Township of Miami County and in the northeast quarter of 26. It is on east side of Tipp-Canal Road (aka County Road 154) on the south edge of town of Tipp City. It is difficult to find.
    INGLE GRAVEYARD
    in Newberry Township of Miami County. It is now a part of the older section of the HIGHLAND CEMETERY in Covington. The Michael Ingle Family were the first to bury in this place and it was on their property. Later the family sold a couple of acres to the newly formed Highland Cemetery Association. Today the cemetery is owned by and cared for by The Newberry Township Trustees. The gravestones have been copied and published in the book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township," by Joe Bosserman. 

    Michael Ingle was the first permanent settler in Newberry Township, Miami Co Ohio. The attached photos were taken by Joe Bosserman on  1  Nov 2000.  The camera was pointed east-north-east.

    in Bethel Township of Miami County Ohio, also known as OLD JACKSON and KEPPER CEMETERY. For more information see KEPPER Cemetery
    JACKSON CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio, is also known as the HANKTOWN CEMETERY. Mostly if not all are Afro-American burials. For further information see the HANKTOWN CEMETERY    Note: The listing of a Jackson Cemetery in Union Township of Miami Co was a "picked-up" while purging records left by researchers and historians of yesteryear. It was most likely confused by them with the Jackson Cemetery in the north end of Piqua (Springcreek Township.) Thus, the Jackson and Hanktown were not really the same.
    JACKSON AFRICAN CEMETERY
    is in Springcreek Township of Miami County. It is in Rossville, which is in Section 31. Many of the former "Randolph Slaves" are buried in this cemetery. Over the past few years there has been a movement by the Rossville Historical Society to clean up and restore this historical burying place.     JOHNSON CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio is an incorrect name sometime used to identify the MURRAY CEMETERY. See The MURRAY CEMETERY
    JOHNSTON CEMETERY
    in Washington Township of Miami County Ohio is on State Route 66 north of Piqua Ohio. It is also known as the UPPER PIQUA CEMETERY. It is near the site of The Col. John Johnston farm. It is in west one-half of Section 6, and on the east side of State Route 66. Col. John Johnston was a Government Indian Agent and his farm is today preserved by The Ohio Historical Society.     KARNS/CARNS CEMETERY
    in Monroe Township of Miami County also known as BLICKENSTAFF CEMETERY. For more information see: BLICKENSTAFF CEMETERY
    KEPPER CEMETERY
    in Bethel Township of Miami County is also known as TENEICK, JACKSON or OLD JACKSON Cemetery. It is located in the northeast 1/4 of Section 26, on the west side of State Route 202, five and one-half miles south of Troy, and one-quarter mile south of County Road 166 (Tipp City Road). It is off the road in a field.
    KNOOP FAMILY
    cemetery in Staunton Township of Miami County. It is located along the north side of State Route 41 around three miles east of Troy. It is well cared for. Inscriptions have been copied and may be seen at the archives of The Troy Historical Society. The cemetery is in southeast quarter of Section 4, Town 1, Range 10 and midway between Sayers Road and Knoop Road on the north side of State Route 41.

    LAURA CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio is just south of the Town of Laura. It is also known as the OLD LUDLOW cemetery. It is the northeast quarter of Section 10, Town 7, Range 4. It is on the north side of Coppock Road, one-quarter mile west of Wright Road. It is less than one mile east of the Miami-Darke County Line.

    LEATHERWOOD CEMETERY also known as Leatherman Cemetery
    is one-half mile north of the town of Lena, in Brown Township of Miami County Ohio. It is on the Lena-Palestine Road (aka County Road 205) in the northeast 1/4 of Section 1, at the south end of Leatherwood Creek.  Many of the people buried here were one time residents of Johnson Twp., Champaign Co. Ohio.

    in Lostcreek Township of Miami County, is in the southeast quarter of Section 25. It is in a field 3/4 mile east of Casstown. This is likely the site of the old SALEM PRESBYTERIAN Church.

    McKINNEY CEMETERY
    in Springcreek Township of Miami County. It is in the south one-half of Section 33, on the west side of the Lockington Road one and one-half miles north of Brokaw Road. The gravestone inscriptions have been copied and pub- listed in a Shelby County Book: "Memorial Records Of Shelby County." This is the only Miami County Cemetery published in that Shelby County book.
    MEEK CEMETERY
    is in Lostcreek Township of Miami County Oh. It is in the southeast quarter of Section 12, in a field west of the Alcony Road (aka County Road 26), and quarter mile north of the Casstown-Clark County Road (aka County Road 164).
    MIAMI MEMORIAL PARK
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is two miles north of Covington and along the east side of State Route 48. It is in the northwest quarter of Section 17, Town 9, Range 5. This cemetery was incorporated in 1959 with the first burial taking place in March 1960. The cemetery office is located on nearby Crescent Drive and the records are wonderful. A list of the burials in this cemetery were copied from their card file in 1979 and published with names and dates in the book "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township."     MILL CREEK CEMETERY
    is also known as OLD MILL CREEK, and FREDERICK cemetery. It is in Monroe Township of Miami County and around one and one-half miles east of the town of Frederick. It is in the southwest quarter of Section 31, and on the north side of the North-Montgomery-County-Line Road (aka Township Road 3). It is west of Boone Road (aka Township Road 147). It is at the site of the MILL CREEK FRIENDS Monthly Meeting House (Quaker).

    in Staunton Township of Miami County Ohio. This graveyard name found on an old list as having been in Section 3. Location not found. No further information. Note: There are two section #2s in Staunton Township;

    MURRAY CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio and half-mile east of Covington on the south side of State Route 41. It is in plain view near the highway, well cared for. According to gravestones the first burial was in 1832 and the last in 1871. It is in the northeast quarter of Section 32, Town 8, Range 5. Inscriptions were taken and published in the book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township." The cemetery is sometimes (incorrectly) referred to as The Johnson Cemetery. The attached photo was taken on 01 Nov 2000. The road on the far right hand side is State Route 41, looking west.

    PLEASANT HILL CEMETERY
    in Newton Township, Miami County, on the west edge of the town of Pleasant Hill Ohio. It is a rather large cemetery with nearly all of the very old stones being in a long section along State Route 718, which forms the south edge of the cemetery. The oldest readable stone is for John Rench, 18 year old, died in 1811, son of Joseph & Susannah (Deeter) Rench. The stones have been copied but not yet published.   The cemetery caretaker,

    in Staunton Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the northeast quarter of Section 19, at the southwest corner of the Troy-Sidney Road and the Piqua-Troy Road.
    RARICK CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. It is located two miles north of Bradford in the northwest quarter of Section 10, Town 9, Range 4. It is almost 1/2 mile north of State Route 185 and between State Route 721 and Fetters Road. There is but one grave marked and likely the only grave ever at this place: Jacob Rarick died 30 Aug 1820 aged 41y, 9m, 3d.
    RHODEHAMEL CEMETERY
    in Union Township of Miami County Ohio. It is around one mile east of Laura on the east side of Shiloh Road and one-third of a mile south of Horseshoe Bend Road. It is in the northwest quarter of Section 1, Town 7, Range 4.
    RIVERSIDE CEMETERY
    is a very large cemetery in the City of Troy. It is in Staunton Township of Miami County Ohio. There is an on site caretaker and a very good record system. It is active with most of the Troy area burials now being made there. It is in the northeast quarter of Section 18, in Troy, on the east side of the Troy-Sidney Road, one quarter mile north of the Troy-Urbana Road.  One of the attached pictures is a aerial photo furnished by the cemetery staff.

    is a large cemetery at the northeast edge of West Milton in Union Township of Miami County. It is in Section 16, Town 7, Range 5

    ROSE HILL CEMETERY
    is in the City of Troy, and in Staunton Township of Miami County. It is very old and rather large. It is well cared for burying ground. It is in the northeast quarter of Section 17, in Troy, on the north side of State Route 55 between the railroad and the Troy-Urbana Road (aka County Road 193).  From downtown Troy go north from the city-square and across the bridge. You will see the cemetery ahead one block on your right.

    ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CEMETERY
    A part of MAPLE HILL cemetery, and is located in Monroe Township, Miami County. See MAPLE HILL cemetery for further information.
    ST. PAUL'S LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY
    is in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. The graveyard is along the south side of the Miami-Shelby County Road between State Route 48 and Rangeline Road. It is sometimes called the WEHNEMAN Grave-yard. The first burial was in 1876 and the last in 1937. The Church Building burned to the ground 1938. Inscriptions were copied in 1979 and published in book: "Gravestone Inscriptions Of Newberry Township." The cemetery is centered in the north most part of Section 31, Town 10, Range 5. Just across the road to the north is Shelby County. The attached photo was taken on 1 Nov 2000.

    SAMPSON CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is a misgiving name for the HARTZELL CEMETERY. For further information on this cemetery see HARTZELL CEMETERY. A Sampson Family once lived just to the west of this place, hence the name.
    SAUNDERS CEMETERY
    in Staunton Township of Miami County. It is also known as the BLUE FARM cemetery. It is located in the northeast one-half of Section 10, Town 1, Range 10. It is on the east side of State Route 504 and north of State Route 41 at Robbins Road (aka Township Road 52).
    SAYLOR GRAVEYARD

    SCHILLING CEMETERY
    is in Newberry Township of Miami County and in the town of Covington. It is in the back yard of what is known as 623 East Walnut Street. There are two or three Schilling Children buried in this place but the stones are now gone. The stones were still there in the early 1950s but removed during the 1960s after the widow of Dr. Lewis T. Arthur sold the property (she was nee Bertha Schilling).
    SHEARER CEMETERY
    said to be in Union Township of Miami County Ohio.   Not knowing of any burying
    place by that name, is supposed that it may be the only known graveyard  located on Shearer Road of Union Township, which is shown here as HONEYMAN CEMETERY

    in Elizabeth Township of Miami County is also known as the GEARHART cemetery. It is in the northeast 1/4 of Section 32 and on the south side of Walnut Grove Road. (aka County Road 161). It is one third of a mile east of the Children's-Home Road in a field.
    SHELLABARGER CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County is on the east side of McMacken Road about one-quarter of a mile north of State Route 36. It is about 1/2 mile east of Covington, and in the southwest quarter of Section 21, Town 9, Range 5. Some records show this as the PRIEST Cemetery. First burial according to stones was 1848.     in Newberry Township of Miami County is a name sometimes applied to both the BRUMBAUGH CEMETERY and to the FRIEDENS LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY. For further information on either of these two cemeteries see the entries under their respective names.
    STUDEBAKER GRAVEYARD
    is in Bethel Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in the southeast 1/4 of Section 22, on the south side of Studebaker Road (aka County Road 236), west of Pisgah Road (aka Township Road 182) in a field. 
    SUGAR GROVE CEMETERY
    is in Newton Township of Miami County Ohio. It is part in the southwest quarter of Section 5 and part in the southeast quarter of Section 6. Most of the early burials were of Dunkers. The old Church Building and Brethren Campground is just to the west of the graveyard. The graveyard is well cared for and active. The gravestone inscriptions have been copied by several people over many years, but not published.

    UNION CHURCH CEMETERY (Newberry Township)
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. It is in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio. The church was tore down in the 1950s but was not used for some time before. It was a joint church building used by more than one denomination, mostly Christian and Presbyterian. It is in the southeast quarter of Section 6, one-quarter mile east of State Route 48, on the north side of the Union Church Road (aka Township Road 90) and on east side of Trotters Creek.

    UNION CEMETERY
    in Newton Township of Miami County is sometimes called The OLD LUDLOW Cemetery. It is east of State Route 48 on Horseshoe Bend Road (aka County Road 39), then back a long lane running north, in a field. It is well cared for and still active. It is approximately three miles south of Pleasant Hill and one mile north of Ludlow Falls. Many of the early burials in this place were Quaker. It is in Southeast quarter of Section 32. One quarter mile east of State Route 48, and circa 200 yards north of the Horseshoe Bend Road. The Horseshoe Bend Road is the dividing line between Newton and Union Townships.

    UNNAMED CEMETERY
    in Springcreek Township of Miami Co. This cemetery is located in the southeast quarter of Section 2. It is on the west side of Hetzler Road, one-half mile south of the Country-Club Road.
    UPPER PIQUA CEMETERY
    is in Washington Township of Miami County Ohio. It is on State Route 66 north of Piqua Ohio. It is also known as the JOHNSTON CEMETERY. It is near the site of The Col. John Johnston Farm. It is in the west one-half of Section 6, and on the east side of State Route 66. Col. John Johnston was a Government Indian Agent, and his farm today is preserved by The Ohio Historical Society.
    VORE CEMETERY
    (also known Brush Creek German Baptist Cemetery) in Union Township of Miami County a half-mile west of Nashville. It is in the southwest quarter of Section 14, Town 7, Range 5. The stones have all been removed from the graves and placed in a row down the middle of the graveyard.

    may be the same as the MILLS cemetery. Both are at about the same location. It is in Monroe Township of Miami County Ohio, and in Section 34 (quarter section not given). It is first lane south of Ginghamsburg Road (aka Township Road 224) and east of the underpass. Also see The MILLS CEMETERY.
    WESLEY CHAPEL GRAVEYARD
    in Lostcreek Township of Miami County. It is located in the southeast Quarter of Section three, on the east side of Alcony Road, and north of the Troy-Urbana Road. The church building is now gone. Do not confuse this graveyard for the one by the same name in Shelby County. 
    WESLEY CHAPEL GRAVEYARD
    in Orange Township of Shelby County. It is included here because it is so very close to the Miami-Shelby County Line and there are many Miami County people buried in it. Do not confuse this graveyard for the one by the same name in Miami County Ohio. 
    WEST BRANCH
    This Friends (Quaker) Meeting House Graveyard is in Union Township of Miami County. It is about a mile southwest of West Milton and a mile north of the Miami-Montgomery County Line. It is on the south side of Garland Road about a mile west of State Route 48. It is along the south side of the road and easily seen, well cared for, and the burial place of many of the early Quaker settlers.

    WHEELOCK CEMETERY
    is located in Union Township, Miami County Ohio. It is in the northeast quarter of section 23, Range 5. It is on the south side of  Snell Road, one quarter mile west of Kessler-Frederick Road.

    WHITMER CEMETERY
    Located in Newberry Township, on the south edge of State Route 36 in the front yard of a newer home. In some records this cemetery has been known by other names , such as the Arnold Cemetery.

    WISE FAMILY CEMETERY
    in Newberry Township of Miami County Ohio is a name that is sometimes incorrectly called Loxley Cemetery. It is in very poor condition. It's location is in Section 15, Range 4, Township 10. It back a long overgrown lane, north off of Klinger Road across from the Bradford Water Works.   The attached photo was taken on 1 Nov 2000.  The man on the left is Robert Cain of Newberry Twp., Miami County Ohio, one of our volunteers.
