Lewis Cemetery in Lostcreek Township of Miami County, is in the southeast quarter of Section 25. It is in a field 3/4 mile east of Casstown. This is likely the site of the old Salem Presbyterian Church.

LEWIS CEMETERY BURIALS

The following information was in a letter from Elise Lindenberger to my father, Coleman Scott, undated but probably written in the 1940s or 50s. I went there in Sept and Oct 2005. It had been recently  been  cleared and is being maintained by Lostcreek Township. I was able to correct some information and record several more entries that were not on Mrs. Lindenberger's list. I also took several photographs which are being provided to the Cemetery Preservation Society along with this list.

Dear Coleman: Here are the burials in what is recorded as Lewis Cemetery, Lostcreek Township, but which has also been known as Salem cemetery.   I think there was once a Presbyterian Church near the cemetery, Salem Presbyterian Church. Most stones give date of death and age I figured out birth dates from that.
