WRIGHT, ROSE V. - Rose "Violet" Wright, 92, of Troy,
formerly of Tipp City, died Friday, May 29, 2010. She was born Nov. 27,
1912 the fourth daughter of Jesse J. and Flora M. Bullens of Rock Castle
County, Ky. in 1936, she married Joseph Wright of Tipp City and joined the
Troy First Baptist Church in 1961. She taught Sunday School and Vacation
Bible School, was a Guild Girl's leader, was active in Women's Missionary
Society, Women's Sewing Day, Sunshine Committee, and volunteered in the
Stouder Hospital Auxiliary. For the last for years she has lived at the
Troy Sterling House and Koester Pavilion. Violet was preceded in death by
her parents, her husband of 61 years, Joseph, on May 22, 1998; son-in-law of
nearly 42 years, Robert Joe Blumenstock; stepmother, Lula Powell Bullens;
mother-in-law, Alma Wright; three older sisters, Mabel Howard, Beulah Clem,
Doris Hacker; three younger brothers, Harold, Jesse Jr., Boyd Bullens; and
several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughters and
son-in-law, Peggy Jo and Ernst Grunewald of Watervliet, Mich., Linda
Blumenstock of Troy; grandchildren, David and Cindy Blumenstock of
Kettering, Jovilin Grunewald and Mark Tanner of Oak Harbor, Wash., Daniel
Blumenstock of Troy, Peggy J. Grunewald of Phoenix, Ariz., currently serving
with the U.S. Army in Iraq; five great grandchildren, Andrew, Bethany and
Aaron Blumenstock of Kettering, Thomas and Katherine Tanner of Oak Harbor,
Wash.; half-sister, Nancy (Bullens) and Alvin Rice of Kentucky; a special
foster daughter, Diane and Jeff Gray of Piqua; several cousins, nephews and
nieces. Funeral services were held June 2 at Troy First Baptist Church,
with Pastors Dale Christian and Douglas Magin officiating. Burial followed
at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City. Arrangement by Baird Funeral Home in
