YUNKER, PHYLIS A. - Phylis A. (Collier) Yunker, 66, of Tipp
City, died Aug. 12, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born Dec. 22, 1943,
in Cincinnati, to Philip and Dorothy (Nestor) Collier. She was preceded in
death by her parents, and granddaughter, Kristeen Diltz. She is survived by
her husband Garry Yunker; her children; Laura and her husband Rob Diltz of
Tipp City and Keith and his wife Heather Yunker of Troy. She is also
survived by her sister Madelene and her husband, Marty Handler, of South
Pasadena, FL., and by two grandchildren, Ben and Ian Yunker. Phylis was a
1961 graduate of Northmont High School and 1987 graduate of Wright State
University. She had a love for music and the arts. She was a member of
Tipp City Community Band, Troy Civic Band, Victoria Theatre Assn. and WACO
Historical Society. She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in
Tipp City where services were held on August 16, with Pastor Steve Gellatly
officiating. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be
made in Phylis' name to Hospice of Dayton or Zion Lutheran Church.
