WHITAKER, JERRY LAWRENCE - Jerry Lawrence Whitaker, 59, of
Land O'Lakes, Fla., formerly of Tipp City, died Saturday, April 24, 2010.
He was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School in Louisville, Ky.; a Sinclair
Community College graduate; a service manager for Hertz and a member of the
Masonic Lodge. He served his country in the US Army as a Tank Commander.
Jerry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Nicholas and Michelle
Whitaker of Nashville, Tenn., Rob and Debbie Bostwick of Hendersonville,
Tenn.; four grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James and Carolyn
Whitaker of Tipp City, sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Todd Pearson
of Tipp City, Nancy and Nelson Booher of Tipp City, and numerous close
friends that he called his "Florida family". Funeral services will be held
at 11 a.m. April 30 at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 North Miami Street,
West Milton, with Pastor Dave Hixon officiating. Friends may call from 9-11
a.m. before the funeral. Masonic services will be held at 10:45 a.m. at the
funeral home and Military Honors will be held at the graveside.
