WEST, WILLIAM LAWRENCE
- William Lawrence West, 92 of Tipp
City, died Sunday, Sept. 27 surrounded by his loving family. Lawrence was
born March 27, 1917 and raised on a farm outside of Albany, Ohio. He grew
up as a farmer and later retired from Advance Foundry in Dayton. He loved
animals, the outdoors, and especially working the ground. He was a charter
member (60 years) of the Albany Masonic Lodge #723 F & A M, Albany. Larry
is survived by his wife of 69 years Dorothy (Cook); daughters, Jill,
Jocelyn, and Maria (Kovacs) of Vandalia; twin grandsons Brent William and
Jeremy Lawrence Kovacs; son-in-law, Mike Kovacs; brother, Gene West of
Albany, Ohio; sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, many friends; and beloved dogs
Ginger and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee and
Hattie Marie (Bobo) West; sisters, Winifred, Mae, Francis, Evelyn, and
Madge; brothers, Darrell and Ralph; and beloved dogs Peppy, Lady, Mandy, and
Sheena. Services were held Oct. 2 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City with
Lay-pastor Nancy Cook officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Frings &
Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
