MARQUIS, ROBERT FRANKLIN - Robert Franklin Marquis, 81, of
Clayton, died March 25, 2009 at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical
Center, Williamsburg, VA. He was born Nov. 5, 1927 in Darke County. He
served in the U. S. Army 101st Airborne during the Korean War. He was
preceded in death by his parents, William and Adelade (Dunspach) Marquis and
his wife Margaret L. (Pearson) Marquis. He is survived by his son and
daughter-in-law, Greg and Gina Marquis of Casstown; daughters and
sons-in-law, Robin and Kenny ale of Lenexa, VA., Kelly and Scott Hurley of
Laura; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, John
Marquis of Englewood. Funeral services were held March 30 at the Brush
Creek Church of God, Tipp City, with Pastor Dave Hixon officiating. Burial
followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Hale-Sarver Funeral
Home, West Milton. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer
Society.
