COMER, RICHARD P. DICK - Richard P. Dick Comer, 87 of Tipp
City died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 at the Caldwell House in Troy where he made
his home for the last few years. He was born July 1, 1922 in Tipp City to
Perry J. and Jessie (Jackson) Comer. Dick was retired from Leland Electric
in Vandalia and was a US Army veteran of WWII where he served in the
artillery. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church,
American Legion #586, VFW #4615 and The Eagles Lodge #2201 all of Tipp
City. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis Comer, his
brothers Ben and Jack Comer and sister Sarah Anson. Dick is survived by his
daughter, Jacquelyn and William Teplica of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren,
Brian Teplica, Washington D. C. and Megan Teplica, Marietta, Ga. Mass of
Christian burial was Oct. 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Contributions may be made to the
Parkinson's Disease Association in Dick's memory.
