HAMILTON, RAY - Ray Hamilton, 79 of Troy died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 in Kindred Hospital, Dayton. He was born in Dony, Ky. on March 12, 1929 the son of Tandy and Zella (Moore) Hamilton. He was a carpenter in the Dayton area for many years. He is survived by his children Larry and Donna Hamilton of Mansfield, Lois and Mike Crawford of Tipp City, Debbie and Quention Short of McDowell, Ky., Wilma Martin of Teaberry, Ky., 14 grandchildren Scott (Shelly ) Hamilton, Kim Allen, Chris Dacre, Marc Dacre, Angel Hamilton, Adam Hamilton, Ryan (Stephanie) Crawford, Jonathan (Kara) Crawford, Jamie (Mike) Poynter, Chandra (Brandon) Traylor, Mary Beth Short, Emily (Jamie) Hamilton, Nick (Kandice) Martin, and Nathan Martin, 14 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Ray will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral services were held Dec. 27 at Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. James Carder officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ray's memory to your favorite charity.
