HAMBLETON, RUTH V. (ELLIOTT) - Ruth V. (Elliott) Hambleton,
99, of Grace Brethren Village, passed away on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008. She was
a longtime member of Concord United Methodist Church, member of the Ohio
Association of Garden Clubs, and a Life Member of the Boonshoft Museum of
Natural History, and the Ridgecrest Association. Hambleton is survived by
her daughter; Nancy Hofele of Tipp City; son, Carlos Hambleton of TX;
sister, Betty Jane Strickel of Dayton; grandson, Jeffrey Wallingsford; step
granddaughter, Jina & (Steve) Huerta, and step grandson, Jeff (Julie) Grant,
step great grandchildren; other family members and friends. She was
preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carlos C. Hambleton, and her
parents, Walter & Nancy (Deck) Elliott. Memorial services were held on
Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Grace Brethren Village (1010 Taywood Rd.,
Englewood 45322) with Pastor Dick Robbins officiating. Interment will be
held privately at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial
contributions may be made to the Grace Brethren Village Activity Fund.
